Create Interactive Lessons Using EDpuzzle
You may be wondering, “Why do I need to create online lessons? Are they relevant for me? I only teach in the classroom.” The answer is Yes! Here are a few reasons why EDpuzzle is valuable for on-ground courses.
- The lessons can be used prior to a session to prepare for deeper engagement when you are with your students
- The lessons can be a good follow up for practice and review of concepts
- The lessons are an easy way to move your session online in the event of class cancellations (weather, illness, etc.)
In this hands-on workshop, you will learn how this easy and free tool promotes active learning by making any video interactive, whether you created it or found it online (think TEDtalks or any of the thousands of online resources). Instructors can incorporate questions and comments that students respond to at strategic points in the video lesson. You can also track your students’ progress through the gradebook feature and give them feedback. EDpuzzle is a simple-to-use tool to increase accountability, engagement, and learning.
