Alvin Wong | Brightspace Administrator
As the Brightspace Administrator at Eastern University, I love being able to work in education and technology. I enable faculty to implement online technologies through workshops that have featured a range of online tools: Brightspace, Adobe Connect, Google Docs, YouTube, Google Hangouts, and more. By collaborating with instructors, I have also learned of new technologies that we can use at Eastern. I am passionate about learning new technologies from others as well as demonstrating how to apply new technologies to different field of studies.
Other than technology, I enjoy bicycling and spending time with family and friends. I am very fortunate and blessed by God to have a wife who gives me support in many ways, enabling me to do Bike MS multiple years in a row. The Bike MS 75 mile bike ride is very challenging, yet fun. In some ways learning new technologies is like Bike MS; everyone moves at their own pace, but you will reach the finish line if you keep on going. If we continue to use new technologies and keep moving forward we will get to where we want to be. I look forward to watching the university grow together, learning and using technology in instruction for our students’ success.
